Here are some things you can try to help the person you care for to calm down or redirect their energy when they are upset or agitated:
- Pop bubble wrap
- Count to 10
- Write down how they feel
- Go to a calming place in the home or quiet spot (bedroom, tent, bean bag etc.)
- Have a shower or bath
- Jump on a trampoline
- Roll up paper in to balls
- Run water on hands
