Burden Scale for Family Caregivers (BSFC)
This scale is a valid instrument for measuring your subjective burden as informal caregiver. Your risk of physical psychosomatic complaints can be determined and can be used to highlight the need for action and to give concrete recommendations for interventions.
The following questions reflect how you sometimes feel when you are taking care of another person. After each question, circle how often you feel that way: There are no right or wrong answers.
Higher score means bigger burden of care and call for action.
